March Number!

We got our monthly update last week and we are now number 7!  Honestly we were hoping for more movement but we are thankful for being that much closer to our referral!  Hebrews 6:15 says, "And so after waiting patiently, Abraham received what was promised."  I have this verse posted throughout our house and on my desk at work to remind me to be patient and wait on God's perfect timing, not my imperfect timing.  The nursery is painted and we are about to start all the sewing for the room.  Can't wait to post pictures when we finish! 
   We celebrated Cameron's 17th birthday this wknd.  It's so hard to believe he's 17!  Where does the time go???  This past year he got his license, this week he'll take his SAT's and also choose what classes he'll take next year, his senior year.  All reminders that he is almost grown up!  I don't have to worry about embarrassing him as I'm pretty sure he does not read my posts but Mike and I are so proud of the young man he is and is becoming!  We couldn't ask for more in a son.  I can't wait to bring our daughter home, I know Cameron will be an amazing big brother to her!!!
  That's all the news for now.  By the way the pic of our dogs when we were at 21 keeps following me around to every post...I'm trying to figure out how to have it stay at that specific post.  My incredible skills on the computer explain the lack of more posts and pictures!!!:(

Don't Count Your Chickens.......

Well, we got our "official" number yesterday.  Sadly, we are not quite as far along as we thought.  That is why they call it an "unofficial" number.  We are officially #9, not 7 as we had thought.  Just another reminder that Baby R. will be here in God's perfect timing.  In the meantime we are working on the nursery and it's coming along quite nicely.  Special thanks to my dad for his painting expertise and time...it looks beautiful!!!

   As I type this it is pouring down rain here.  I'm thinking I should go paint baby furniture but it's not really painting weather.  I'm thinking it's more "napping" weather:)  Hhhm....decisions, decisions:) 

A long overdue update!

Okay, okay, okay......I am quite possibly the worst blogger ever!  The last blog where I enlisted the help of our animals took so much time and effort (I'm "All Things Technically" challenged) that with every new number it was just easy to say, "I'll post that tomorrow" amd tomorrow never came.  But I'm back with our new "unoffical" number.  As of 1-29-10 it looks like we are unofficially number 7!!!  We are hoping to get an official number this coming week.  For those of you that don't know, we get an update once a month from our agency telling us what number we are in line.  This is our "official" number.  We belong to a "listserve" that is comprised of all the families from our agency.  With each passing week, more and more families get to the #1 position and receive pictures and info (a referral) about  their child.  We are able to know approx. how many families get their refferal and therefore we can estimate what our "unofficial" number is.
   We have started to prepare the nursery (thank you mom & dad) which is exciting as it feels like we are getting closer!  I'll post pictures as soon as we finish!!!  REALLY!
